This year's Wairua Warrior promises to be the most captivating and awe-inspiring yet, at the fabulous Nelson Obstacle Park, known for its diverse challenges and being the biggest, (with over 50 obstacles) and only permanent Obstacle Course in New Zealand. Our courses cater to all levels, offering 2.5km, 3km, 5km and 10km races featuring over 50 fun and challenging obstacles in a single loop that will push you to your limits. Whether you are an experienced obstacle course racer or simply seeking an invigorating adventure, this is your chance to awaken your inner warrior! You can participate solo or gather your friends and family and register as a team. For our young warriors aged 6 to under 14, we have a 2.5km race.
In 2026, Wairua Warrior presents an exclusive chance for our Elite racers to participate in the 3km 5km and 10km races across two days at one event. This event is the only one that offers this unique opportunity.
Wairua Warrior presents an exclusive chance for our Elites and for the best-of-the-best to collect three sets of points, qualifying for our new Trifecta and the chance to gain points in the NZOSA National Series. Giving those participating a step towards Representing New Zealand at the World Obstacle Championships a direct pathway to wearing the famous black shirt. Compete, Conquer and Connect!!
